We are so proud of the standard of our facilities here at Toby’s. Pride in Pools recently received the 2025 Award of Excellence from SPASA (Swimming Pool and Spa Association) for their construction of the18m pool located in the Gordon Genat Community Centre within our village. This is the region’s first indoor heated swimming pool, enjoyed exclusively by our residents all year round!

The Toby’s St Patrick’s Day celebration went off with a mighty “craic”. The shenanigans included a mixture of Irish culture, Irish music, green beer and bubbles, Guinness pies, green cupcakes and Irish themed games. There were shamrocks galore, and the highlight of the evening was the appearance of our very own leprechaun (AKA Residents’ Association President – Neil Grayson)! A ‘Guess the Weight of the Giant Pumpkin’ competition sent one lucky resident home with 8.5kg of pumpkin to get through! Perhaps a soup lunch is now in order! Thanks so much to all who were involved in making it a fantastic night enjoyed by one and all.

In a most thoughtful gesture the founding residents of Toby’s organised, with the assistance of the Dunsborough Men’s Shed, to craft a Jarrah bench in tribute of Gordon Genat, the village’s late founding Managing Director. Thanks so much to these individuals for this beautiful gift, it’s the perfect addition to our main entry!

Toby’s residents enjoyed their first village sundowner in the new Gordon Genat Community Centre. We are thrilled to have this beautiful space for this wonderful community to enjoy! One of the great benefits of retirement lifestyle villages is that they accommodate independent living while at the same time providing shared amenities, facilitating social engagement. We are looking forward to many more events to be enjoyed here, for years to come!
